Reading Response
As a person born in the 90s, I witnessed the development of Internet. I can feel the rapid development. After reading this article. I really appreciated the way Maciej Cegłowski used to display his ideas. He starts with a parable about airplanes. He indicates that the same thing that happened to aviation is happening with the internet. I think the development of our Web and Internet is always meet the public's needs. And I agreed with Abraham Maslow. All of products that designed are to meet our physiological needs first, and then goes to the safety needs and our mental needs.
So as a designer, when we want to design or redesign something, we should always obey this theory. Especially when we redesign some products. we need to answer the question that dose this product meet basic needs? Dose it meet safety needs? And then we can dip into it to find new meaning or profound meanings.
